4th of July Ice Cream

July 5, 2021 By Leah Leave a Comment

For the 4th of July we decided to try some new flavors of ice cream from our Brown Swiss dairy cow – Banana, Blueberry, and Strawberry. I like to use a very simple ice cream recipe:

3 cups sugar
12 cups whole milk (straight from the milk bucket, don’t skim cream)
Vanilla to taste (or flavor of your choice)

Dissolve sugar in milk on a large pot on the stove and heat to a boil on a medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Once boiling allow to boil for 1 minutes, and remove from heat. Allow to cool completely, and make in an ice cream maker.

Enjoy!
