Happy New Year! It’s been an incredible two weeks watching the puppies continue to grow, learn, and explore their surroundings. This new added mobility has made taking photos of them tricky, they won’t stay still!
Milestones we have reached this week:
Puppy Growth and Development:
The pups are visible growing stronger with each passing day. Their eyes have started to open, Though still a bit wobbly, attempts to stand have become a bit more confident and steps more steady and sure.
Exploration and Play: The pups become extremely animated when Brandy enters their den, they all bark and grunt and rush towards her as quickly as possible. Slowly the puppies are discovering the world around them, learning about textures, smells, and sounds. If a puppy rolls off the soft blankets in the den it will cry for help, and crawl back to the warmth of his or her siblings once it has calmed down.
Bonding Time: The New Year has provided us with the perfect opportunity to spend LOTS of quality time with the puppies. As a family, we’ve really embraced the joy of bonding with these little furballs. Gentle cuddles, soothing lullabies, and quiet moments have been the norm day in and day out. They are growing, but are still so tiny too!
Looking Ahead: As we reflect on the past two weeks, we’re filled with gratitude for the warmth and laughter these puppies have brought into our lives. The New Year promises more moments of discovery, growth, and shared experiences with these sweet pups.
Here’s to a year filled with wagging tails, endless puppy kisses, and the timeless bond between people and their farm dogs. May the coming months be as bright and joyful as the love that our farm is blessed with. Happy New Year!
