Cow Appreciation Day

July 12, 2022 By Leah Leave a Comment

🐮 HAPPY COW APPRECIATION DAY! 🐮
I am making cheese right now waiting for my milk to get up to temp and just have to say how thankful I am for our sweet family milk cows. These Brown Swiss let us make so many wonderful dairy products each week and they are calm, wonderful cows to be around.
With three gallons (about what we get from Rasberry at this time) I can use the cream to make a gallon of ice cream or 2 lbs of butter, plus use the skimmed milk for fresh drinking, or making 2 lbs of cheese, or 2 gallons of yogurt, or any baking needs.
They have also fed many bottle kids/lambs this spring. ❤
