Cherries Are Ripe!

June 30, 2021 By Leah Leave a Comment

Our cherry trees are ripe and we’ve been busy making pies! My brothers, Michael & Jesse (and his wife Emily), came to visit, along with my sister Barbara and her family this past Sunday and we picked, pitted and baked two delicious cherry pies! As we pitted them out we joked that these were $100 pies, as it took around 4 of us picking and pitting alone several hours to prep everything for the pie. A true labor of love.

We are so thankful for the bounty here on the farm this summer, and for the foresight of those before us who planted these fruitful trees!
